Registration

The registration process for NBM2025 conference is in two simple steps:

Step 1: Create an account in our NBM ConfTool platform (if you didn’t do so before). This platform is used for the management of your conference submissions and will be used for the program and other conference updates.

Step 2: Go to our Registration and Payment platform to pay for your conference fees. The Registration and Payment platform is OPENED !!

Once you finalize with your payment, your main profile in ConfTool will be updated (in a few days) as a conference participant. Please note that registering and attending our conference (without necessarily having a submission) is also possible. Please make sure to have (I) created an account in Conftool and afterwards go to the registration and payment platform to complete the registration.

Submissions guidelines

Authors are invited to submit extended abstracts, short papers and full papers until 15 January 2025* via Conftool Conference Management System. Accepted contributions must be revised and resubmitted until March 14th 2025. Contributions must be submitted to one of the proposed sessions. 

All accepted contributions will be included in the conference proceedings. The book of abstracts of the 10th New Business Models Conference - NBM 2025 will be published as a book in a digital format with ISBN, DOI, and handle. In addition, individual contributions will be identified with their DOI and handle. In all cases, permission from the authors will be required.

Conference Social Events

Gala Dinner (June 25th at 18:30)

The Gala Dinner will take place at Gamla Bíó, a historic cinema hall that has been transformed into a versatile event venue, located in the heart of Reykjavík.

Catering for the event will be provided by Lux Veitingar, a distinguished culinary company founded in 2018 by Hinrik Lárusson and Viktor Örn Andrésson. Both founders share a deep passion for competitive cooking and have extensive experience as members of Iceland's national culinary team. The two met while competing in the prestigious Bocuse d'Or world championship cooking competition in 2017.

Viktor Örn boasts an impressive track record, having won gold in the Chef of the Year competition in 2013 and the Nordic Culinary competition in 2014. More information

For the conference guests, the menu features an elegant selection of thoughtfully curated small dishes, crafted to offer a rich variety of flavours and textures while showcasing a diverse array of culinary styles and high-quality ingredients.

If you have any food allergies or dietary preferences, such as a preference for vegan meals, please let us know by sending an email to nbm2025@hi.is at your earliest convenience. We will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Tickets for this dinner will be available during the registration process.

 

Conference Proceedings

The NBM2025 Conference will feature two academic publications: Book of Abstracts and Conference Proceedings.

Accepted contributions must be revised and resubmitted by April 30th 2025. Contributions must be submitted to one of the proposed sessions. 

All accepted contributions will be included in the conference proceedings. The book of abstracts of the 10th New Business Models Conference - NBM 2025 will be published as a book in a digital format with ISBN, DOI, and handle. It will be published in the open institutional repository of University of Iceland. In all cases, permission from the authors will be required.

 

Cancellations and refunds

We would like to inform all participants that conference fees are non-refundable. Please note that this policy applies to all registrations received before or after the registration deadline.

In the event that unforeseen circumstances prevent you from attending the conference in person, we are pleased to offer the option to switch to online participation. Please contact us as soon as possible if you require this option.

Additionally, if you have purchased a gala dinner ticket and are no longer able to attend the conference, we offer the option to transfer your ticket to another onsite participant. Please contact us if you wish to transfer your ticket.

We understand that circumstances may arise that prevent you from attending the conference as planned, and we regret any inconvenience this may cause. However, due to the nature of our planning and organization process, we are unable to issue refunds. We kindly request your cooperation and understanding in this matter, and we look forward to welcoming you to the conference.

If you are unable to attend the conference (after being registered), please inform us as soon as possible, as we would need to make the necessary arrangements and inform your track chair, as your contribution will not be presented during the session.
